The results of last weekend’s bicycle race between Lunsar Cycling Team and Kono
Cycling Team are as follows:
Men.
1: Moses L Kamara (Lunsar Cycling Team)
2: Minkailu Malam Conteh (Lunsar Cycling Team)
3: Sorie Koroma (Lunsar Cycling Team
The race began in relatively calm fashion but following the day’s designated climb
point (won by Abu Sheik Sesay of Lunsar Cycling Team) the attacks began to fly.
Once the race had settled down, four riders from Lunsar Cycling Team were clear of
the chasers and came home to seal a memorable result for the team.
Mohamed Bangura was the highest placed Kono Cycling Team rider, coming home
in fifth place.

In the women’s event, it was Blessings Jabbie (Kono Cycling Team) that emerged
victorious after competing against three of her teammates for the win. For
Blessings, this victory serves as further progress towards her main objective of
winning the women’s event at the SiS Tour de Lunsar next year. She was third in the

2022 edition.
The race was an important training exercise for riders from both teams as each
organisation looks to continue the growth plans for their respective athletes and
plan ahead for the 2023 edition of the SiS Tour de Lunsar.
Banta Sesay was keen to thank Kono Cycling Team after the race, saying that:

wonderful hospitality and for the opportunity to measure the progress of our riders
against those from other teams.”
