The Organising Committee of the 9th 50 Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Awards is pleased to announce the 100 shortlisted nominees for the 2026 Awards officially.
Following a nationwide nomination process, the Committee received a total of 2,006 nominations from members of the public across Sierra Leone and the diaspora. After a rigorous review, verification, and vetting exercise, 100 outstanding women from diverse sectors were selected to advance to the public voting stage.
Public voting will commence on 8th June 2026 and close on 8th July 2026. The final selection process will be based on 70% professional achievements, impact, leadership, and contribution to national development, and 30% public voting.
The Grand Awards Ceremony is scheduled for 18th July 2026 at the Bintumani International Conference Centre under the distinguished patronage of H.E. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, First Female Vice President of Ghana, and H.E. Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
The Committee will announce the official voting procedure and voting platform by the end of the day.
The Committee congratulates all shortlisted nominees and wishes them success throughout the voting process.
