Dedicated Youth Advocate Sheku Foryoh has just graduated with a Honors degree in public relations and advertisement from Cyprus international in Turkey
Sheku Foryoh is a dedicated and passionate individual who has devoted his career to solving social problems and creating positive change in the world. He graduated with honors in Public Relations and Advertisement from the Cyprus International University in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, and has since worked across Africa in both the private and public sectors.
Foryoh has a strong focus on nation-building, which has led him to represent his country, Sierra Leone, in various international platforms. In 2019, he was elected as Chairman of the Zonal Youth Council, a youth structure under the Ministry of Youth Affairs Government of Sierra Leone. He is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Youth and Children’s Advocacy Panel (YACAP), an organization that aims to improve the quality of education for children and young people, create employment opportunities in rural communities, and alleviate extreme poverty across Africa.
Foryoh has completed several programs to further his knowledge and skills, including the YaLa Academy Citizen Journalism Program in 2021 and the 2023 Aspire Institute, a component of the Aspire Leaders Program through Harvard Business School.
In addition to his work with YACAP, Foryoh is also the Chairman of United 4 Salone, a charity and non-profit social welfare organization registered in the United States of America with a branch in Sierra Leone West Africa. He has been working with this organization for the past 10 years, focusing on empowering disadvantaged and deprived people in Africa. He is also a Board Member of the Restless Development Board representing young people.
Over the past decade, Foryoh has contributed valuable work experience to youth and child empowerment, involvement, and increased participation in sustainable development interventions that inform positive policies for the good of others. He has achieved this through his network and services with Community and Faith-Based Organizations (CBOs/FBOs) and International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs).
Foryoh’s journey has been one of dedication, commitment, and passion for creating positive change in the world. He is excited about what the future holds and looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of young people across Africa and beyond.
