M’mah Zombo, a young tech enthusiast from Sierra Leone, has recently launched a Weather Web App that aims to empower individuals to make informed decisions and take action for a sustainable future. As a software engineering student at ALX Africa and a junior frontend engineer at Korlie Limited, Zombo’s passion for innovative tech solutions that transform society is evident.

Inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 13, which focuses on combatting climate change and its impacts, Zombo developed the web app to provide users with current weather conditions and forecasts for any location they search for. This ingenious creation not only helps individuals stay informed but also contributes to climate action.

However, Zombo’s vision goes beyond the web app. She plans to expand it into a comprehensive platform offering various climate-related features and resources. Her ultimate goal is to create a hub for climate action where individuals can access valuable information, collaborate on sustainability initiatives, and contribute to a greener and more sustainable planet.

Zombo’s journey towards tech excellence began during her educational years at Josuel Preparatory School and Annie Walsh Memorial School. She consistently displayed exceptional academic brilliance, securing top positions in national examinations. Her passion for technology was ignited when she had the opportunity to experiment with computer programming and build a smart traffic light during a fair. Since then, she has been in love with tech and determined to leverage it to solve diverse challenges faced by communities worldwide.

Her skills and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as she is now a junior frontend engineer at Korlie Limited. This technology company focuses on solving real-life challenges using an inclusive approach.

M’mah Zombo’s story is a testament to the power of technology in shaping a better world. From being a tech-savvy student to becoming a junior front-end engineer, she exemplifies determination and dedication in making a difference. Her drive to create lasting solutions serves as an inspiration to all, instilling hope and motivating action towards a brighter and more promising future.
