Leone Stars Team Manager Abdul Karim Bangura has successfully completed the FIFA Campus – Essential Course for National-Team Managers (2026 edition), held in Rabat from 14 to 15 April 2026.
The high-level training programme, organised by FIFA in collaboration with the International Centre for Sports Studies, brought together national team managers from across Africa. The aim was to strengthen their knowledge in modern football management and administration.

During the course, participants took part in key modules covering the planning and delivery of national team activities, FIFA Forward 3.0 projects, match operations, safeguarding within the African context, and the growth of women’s football. The sessions also provided practical insights into improving team logistics, communication systems, and overall operational efficiency within national football associations.
Bangura’s successful completion of the programme is seen as an important step in strengthening the professionalism and effectiveness of the Leone Stars’ backroom staff. His exposure to global best practices, as well as the exchange of ideas with other managers, is expected to contribute positively to the development of football in Sierra Leone.
The Sierra Leone Football Association said it remains committed to building the capacity of its technical and administrative staff. The association noted that such efforts are aimed at ensuring national teams are managed in line with international standards, both on and off the pitch.
