Janet S. Kallon has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Board of Directors at the local NGO, Patriotic Advocacy Network-Sierra Leone (PAN-SL). This announcement comes shortly after the resignation of Ansumana Keita, who served as the Executive Director for several years.
Replacing Keita as the Executive Director is Paul J. Koroma. Alongside Kallon and Koroma, Fatmata Turay has been appointed as the deputy Chairperson of the Board.
PAN-SL was established with the primary objective of fostering patriotism, unity, love, and national cohesion among Sierra Leoneans. The organization has been actively involved in the nation’s development, particularly in the educational sector.
One of PAN-SL’s notable achievements has been the successful organization of debating and storytelling competitions among secondary schools nationwide. These initiatives have played a significant role in promoting critical thinking and communication skills among students.
