Miss Sierra Leone Limited has officially launched the search for Miss Sierra Leone 2023, with forms now available for purchase at the DSTV office for Le 250. This highly anticipated event provides an opportunity for young Sierra Leonean women to showcase their beauty, intelligence, talent, and culture on a national stage.

This year’s Theme is “A Healthy Environment in a World of Beauty, Peace & Integrity” which in equal measures means a safe environment that stands in the puddle of peace and wholeness.

The Miss Sierra Leone pageant has a long history in the country, with its first edition taking place in 1986, won by Alice Matta Fefegula. Since then, the pageant has grown in popularity and has become one of the most prestigious events in the country, attracting a large audience both locally and internationally.

The search for Miss Sierra Leone 2023 is expected to be highly competitive, with many talented and intelligent young women vying for the crown. The pageant is open to all Sierra Leonean women aged between 18 and 26, who are unmarried, have no children, and are of good moral character. Contestants will be judged on various criteria, including their poise, confidence, intelligence, and talent.

In attendance the managing director of Africell Shadi Gerjawi who said “over the years he is in support of what Sierra Leoneans has been doing in trying to spotlight and showcasing talents to the world. As a company we will be happy to be a part of this year’s Miss Sierra Leone”.

Dr. Adonis Aboud during the event welcomed the attendees including the new members of Miss Sierra Leone board noting that the president and founder of the African Young Voices Empire Amb. Junior Navo and the Chief Operation Officer Messeh Leone are fully on board he further stated that The Miss Sierra Leone Limited is open for sponsors to come on board.

In conclusion of the launch, they read profile of the former Miss Salone who have over the years been successful in their various field.

Miss Sierra Leone Limited, the organization responsible for organizing the pageant, has urged interested contestants to purchase the forms and apply early to avoid disappointment. Festus is also a perpetual volunteer in life-changing causes and has shown great commitment and dedication to being a catalyst and solution to the challenges faced by young people like himself. Festus currently serves as the Secretary General of the Africa Youth Leaders movement which is a network of youth between the ages of 20 – 30 years who have shown achievement, leadership potential and commitment to make a difference. Festus is also the Africa Focal Point of Youth for Change Initiative, which is a platform through which young people can access resources, be empowered and given the opportunity to grow to become useful members of society who will participate in the development of their communities and nation. Along with another Africa Youth platform, Festus has Co-Founded the Future of Africa initiative which is an advocate forum with the aim to bring together local and international socio-economic stakeholders to support innovative programs aimed at advancing the radical and practical progress of adoption awareness-vulnerable children and youth and youth leadership-through interlinking local, regional and international resources and opportunities.
