The Operations Officer of Kenema Division, Inspector Mohamed Korneh, informed the SLP Media Unit – Eastern Region that on Thursday, March 28, 2024, his team swiftly conducted a raid at “C”-curve in Kenema City. During this operation, they apprehended Jariatu Mustapha, residing at 18 Second Street, who was found in possession of forty-six (46) wraps of “Kush”. These illicit substances were discovered in a bar owned by an individual known as “K-man”.
Subsequently, “K-man” was arrested, and he confessed to providing the drug (Kush) to Jariatu for sales.
In another significant development, acting on a tip-off, the Operations Team intercepted a vehicle with registration number ASZ 886. The driver of this vehicle was Mohamed Soyer, hailing from “C-line” Nyandeyama Section in Kenema City. Upon inspection, the team discovered ninety (90) wraps of Kush, cleverly concealed beneath the driver’s seat.
All suspects and the seized exhibits are currently in police custody, actively assisting with the ongoing investigation.
