The Class of 1996/97 from Government Model Secondary School has generously donated a 70-inch television to culminate the refurbishment of the Staff Room and to commemorate Teachers’ Day. During the presentation, Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, PhD, spoke on behalf of the class, emphasizing that the donation represents a collective effort rather than an individual contribution. He acknowledged the procurement of the television by classmates Albert Gulama and Elizabeth Anderson, highlighting the collaborative spirit of their group in enhancing the school’s facilities.
Dr. Abdulai expressed the significance of teachers as the foundation of knowledge and human civilization, stressing the importance of gratitude towards their invaluable contributions. He noted that while society may not be able to fully repay teachers for their dedication, in some countries, they are among the highest-paid professionals. He reaffirmed the class’s commitment to providing ongoing support to the school.
Madam Noah, in her remarks, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Class of 1996/97 for their generous donation and encouraged them to continue their philanthropic efforts. She urged all stakeholders to collaborate in uplifting the status of the school. Mr. Abass Leigh also welcomed the guests and thanked them for their thoughtful gesture.
