Hon. Justice S.O. Taylor has granted bail to Former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, who is standing trial for Treason and other charges, permission to travel out of Sierra Leone to seek medical attention.
Lawyers of Koroma were earlier today present at the High Court before Appeals Court Judge, Hon. Justice Taylor seeking a review of his bail conditions to enable him to travel out of Sierra Leone for medical attention for ninety days.
Now that the High Court order has been granted, former President Koroma is expected to travel this week to Nigeria for a medical check-up.
President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Alieu Touray was recently in Freetown to meet with the government on the proposed temporal relocation of former President Koroma in Abuja, Nigeria.
