Kid Afan Films is preparing to announce premiere dates in the United States and Sierra Leone for its latest production, Shades of Abuse.
The film uses storytelling to examine different forms of abuse and other real-life issues affecting individuals, families and communities. It forms part of the company’s efforts to bring African stories to local and international audiences.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Frank Rajah Arase, Shades of Abuse features a diverse cast of actors from Sierra Leone and other parts of Africa.
The cast includes Stan Nze, Eddie Watson, Dr Isatu Kakay-Diallo, Desmond B. Finney, Mary Grace Fatoma, Douglas Davies Labor, Sarah Laura Solomon, Naomi Kay, Fouad Kabbia, Aminata Aminash Kabba, Harold Bob Grey, John Chukwu and Agness Fatmata Tarawallie, alongside other actors and crew members.
The story was developed by Dr Isatu Kakay-Diallo and written by Chernor Billoh, with Daramy A. Kabba serving as associate producer.
Kid Afan Films described the production as another important project from its “Game Changer’s Movie Arena,” which aims to address social issues through film while promoting African talent and storytelling globally.
The forthcoming premieres in Sierra Leone and the United States are expected to introduce the film to audiences across both countries. Organisers said the official dates and other premiere details will be announced soon.
