The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, under the leadership of Madam Nabeela Farida Tunis, has partnered with Leone Metal Group to install 520 solar lights along Lumley and Aberdeen Beach.
Honorable Mohamed Sheriff Ramadan Coaker, the Member of Parliament for the Aberdeen Community, welcomed the initiative as a significant contribution to the community’s development. He highlighted the community’s support for tourism and their desire to elevate Lumley and Aberdeen Beach to international levels.
Mr. Salim Silla, the Chief Technical Officer of Leone Rock Metal Group, reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting development projects. He urged collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and private entities to promote tourism and enhance security measures.
Mr. Kwame Yankson, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, conveyed the Minister’s appreciation for the solar light installation project. He outlined the Ministry’s long-term vision for transforming Sierra Leone’s beaches and promoting domestic tourism through the “Tourism for All Campaign.”
