Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has been presented with the National Girls Call to Action Plan by the Girls Advocacy Development Network Sierra Leone. This document, crafted by young participants at last year’s National Girls Summit in Bo, consolidates the voices and perspectives of 500 young individuals, offering insights and recommendations for government, NGOs, and development partners.

The Call to Action Plan stands as a significant expression of Sierra Leone’s youth, reflecting their experiences and proposals for urgent reforms. It aims to strengthen the connection between young people and decision-makers, ensuring their concerns are addressed at the highest levels of government.

The Girls Advocacy Development Network-SL emphasized that this document is not merely a report but a strategic guide for future actions. It sets the stage for the upcoming 5th Edition of the National Girls Summit in October 2024, aiming to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for young Sierra Leoneans.

The network urges collaboration among government bodies, NGOs, stakeholders, and development partners to transform these recommendations into tangible policies. By doing so, they hope to empower youth and drive national progress and innovate.
