Sierra Leonean innovator Kelvin Doe has praised the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) for donating laptops to students from the winning team of the Kelvin Doe Foundation Robotics Tournament.
In a post shared online, Doe said five new laptops were provided to the students, enabling them to continue learning, building and exploring technology. He noted that one of the students was not pictured but is also a beneficiary of the donation.
“The future is in their hands,” Doe said, describing the support as a major boost for young innovators who are passionate about robotics, creativity and problem-solving.
According to him, the donation will help the students deepen their skills in technology and innovation, while encouraging hands-on learning and experimentation.

Doe thanked MoCTI for investing in the next generation of makers and problem solvers, saying such support plays a key role in nurturing young talent and strengthening Sierra Leone’s innovation ecosystem.
The Kelvin Doe Foundation Robotics Tournament aims to inspire young people to use science, technology and creativity to develop solutions to real-world challenges. Organisers say partnerships with government and stakeholders are critical to expanding opportunities for students interested in technology and innovation.
Observers say the donation highlights the growing focus on youth innovation and digital skills as Sierra Leone works to prepare young people for future careers in science and technology.
