SPECIAL JUMAH PRAYERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TODAY FOR MADAM JOHANSEN AS SHE MAKES HISTORICAL DEBUT AS FIFA COUNCIL MEMBER
At least 20 Mosques across the country, including Central Mosque in Freetown, are today offering special JUMAH PRAYERS for the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Madam Isha Johansen as she historically makes her debut and becomes officially sworn in as FIFA Council Member.
Sierra Leoneans all over the world have been celebrating with congratulatory messages still pouring in after Sierra Leone Football Association President emerged victorious in the CAF Elective Congress to become the only female at the FIFA Council representing Africa.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino in his congratulations message to Madam Johansen said;
“I am convinced that, as a FIFA Council Member, you will make an important contribution to FIFA and, most importantly, to the development of our sport, which unites us all.
Sending you my best wishes of luck, courage and success for all the challenges that lie ahead.
I look forward, dear Isha, to working with you already at the next meeting of the FIFA Council.”
Madam Johansen commences work as a FIFA Council Member today by video conference.
