Peter George, a young leader from Sierra Leone, has won the Impact Innovation Award during the Mandela Washington Fellowship Program held at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA.
Peter competed with 22 other young African leaders from different countries across the continent. After weeks of training, teamwork, and presentations, he was announced as the winner of the award for his social impact project.
The Mandela Washington Fellowship is a flagship program of the U.S. government that brings together bright and promising young leaders from Africa for academic and leadership training in the United States.
Peter’s success has made Sierra Leone proud, showing that with hard work and a strong vision, young people can make a big difference at home and abroad.
