In a proactive move aimed at enhancing the nation’s sporting infrastructure, the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, accompanied by the National Sports Authority Executive Director, Dr. Kenneth Brima, and a cohort of senior sports officials, undertook a visit to the Sierra Leone Football Association Secretariat at Kingtom on Thursday, January 25th, 2024. The purpose of their visit was to assess the progress of the ongoing construction of a new artificial turf, a project initiated several months prior.
Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Acting General Secretary, Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh, who provided insights into the developments and facilitated their comprehensive inspection of the site.
The project, which commenced a few months ago, underscores Sierra Leone’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for sporting activities, particularly football, which enjoys widespread popularity across the nation.
