Meet – Emma Theofelus, Africa’s youngest appointed Deputy Minister. On 22 March 2020, at age 23, she was sworn in as Namibia’s Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology.
Minister Theofelus is a Lawyer and Social Justice Advocate with a demonstrated track record of working in the legal services and advocacy industry. She is also considered as one of Africa’s youngest Member of Parliament (MP).
Before her life-changing appointment, she was employed as a legal officer in the Ministry of Justice where she dealt with drafting human rights reports as well as implementing the human rights strategy of the nation, among others.
