The Indian High Commission in Sierra Leone has held an Open House meeting with members of the Indian community in the country to strengthen ties and address their concerns.

The meeting, held on 13 August 2025, brought together the High Commissioner, the Second Secretary (Consular) and Head of Chancery (HOC) with Indian nationals living in Sierra Leone. The session aimed to provide a platform for the diaspora to share their grievances, suggestions, and ideas directly with the diplomatic mission.

According to the High Commission, the engagement was part of ongoing efforts to build a closer connection with the Indian community and ensure their voices are heard in shaping future initiatives.

The event was organised under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India’s Diaspora India Connect programme, which encourages regular interaction between Indian missions abroad and their citizens.
