The Indian High Commissioner to Sierra Leone has met with the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Timothy Musa Kabba, to discuss ongoing progress in bilateral relations and explore future engagements with ECOWAS member states.
According to a statement shared by the Indian High Commission in Sierra Leone, the meeting focused on strengthening the diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries. Both parties expressed commitment to expanding cooperation in key areas such as trade, education, health, and technology.
They also discussed opportunities for regional collaboration, particularly through the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), where India has been deepening its partnerships.
India has maintained strong relations with Sierra Leone over the years, with cooperation in development projects, capacity building, and scholarships under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.
This meeting is seen as part of broader efforts by both nations to enhance South-South cooperation and promote regional stability and growth.
