Sierra Leonean singer and songwriter, Incredible JJ, recently discussed his upcoming projects in an exclusive interview with SwitSalone. The talented artist revealed that he has been diligently working on his first two singles, which are set to be released in early November. Titled “Freetown I’m Coming” and “Love Code,” these songs are the full versions of his popular freestyles that went viral a few weeks ago.
Although JJ did not disclose his collaboration partner, he confirmed that someone is featured in “Freetown I’m Coming.” Additionally, he revealed that both singles have been produced and mastered by Nashito Kulala and Wilbert Music, respectively.
When asked about the inspiration behind “Freetown I’m Coming,” JJ explained that it felt like a divine revelation. Despite his initial intention to write a love song, the ideas for this particular track kept flowing into his mind. It was as if God himself had a hand in creating this anthem for Freetown. JJ also shared that he is currently working on an EP, with several songs already completed.
However, JJ’s journey to success has not been without its challenges. He opened up about the difficulties he faced as a young artist in this region. Poor media management and disapproval from his bookworm father, who did not view music as a viable career, were just a couple of the obstacles he had to overcome.
