Four public officers from Sierra Leone are travelling to India to undergo professional training under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme for the 2025–2026 cycle.
The officers will attend different institutions across India as part of the Government of India’s development partnership with Sierra Leone.
Mr Abu Bakarr Kamara will receive training at the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development in Noida. Ms Gendemeh Susannette and Mr Alimamy Bangura are heading to the National Forensic Science University in Gujarat. Meanwhile, Mr Mohamed Hasmiou Jalloh will take part in a programme at the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee.
The training is facilitated by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs through the ITEC initiative, which aims to build capacity and share technical expertise with developing countries.
The selected officers are drawn from key public institutions, including the Sierra Leone Police and Guma Valley Water Company.
