A former Sierra Leonean international football defender and head coach of Ports Authority, Lamin Bangura of Ports Authority has passed away in tragic accident on the Bo highway.

Lamin Bangura was a highly revered figure in Sierra Leonean football, having represented the national team, the Leone Stars.
He has led Diamond Stars to victory in the 2013 Sierra Leone Premier League, leaving a lasting legacy on the sport in his home country.Other members of the team who were uninjured are en-route to Freetown.
