Eunice Claudia Barber is a celebrated Sierra Leonean-French athlete specializing in the heptathlon and long jump. Initially representing Sierra Leone, she switched her allegiance to France in 1999. Barber clinched the heptathlon title at the 1999 World Athletics Championships and secured gold in the long jump in 2003. She also earned silver in the heptathlon in both 2003 and 2005.
Barber made her Olympic debut in 1992 in Barcelona, competing in the heptathlon and 100 m hurdles. She also participated in the heptathlon at the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart, although she did not finish.

In the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg, Barber achieved personal bests in six of the seven heptathlon events, finishing in fourth place. In the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she placed fifth in the heptathlon and participated in the long jump, although she did not qualify for the final.
