Coach Sebastian Bowles, the head coach of Luawa FC, has set an ambitious goal of moulding his U-18 players into professionals within a span of ten months. Bowles, determined to elevate the players to a high competitive level, emphasized the rigorous nature of the upcoming training sessions that will push the players to their limits.
The declaration came during the unveiling ceremony of the club’s Reserve team, the U-18 squad, at the View Hotel, City Hall Building, Freetown. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of CEO Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, Chairlady Isatu Harisson, and Secretary General Mohamed Sesay.
Speaking to the players, CEO and founder Saffa Abdulai expressed his delight at the culmination of two years of training for these players from the club’s three branches. He attributed the formation of the reserve team to the collective hard work of the academies and coaches. Stressing the importance of discipline, Abdulai deemed it a crucial factor for the players’ future success, urging them to remain focused and committed as they embark on this significant opportunity, marking the commencement of an unprecedented project.
Chairlady Isatu Harisson echoed her excitement, noting the players’ transformative journey from “babies” to young men. She encouraged them to embrace this opportunity for both personal and professional growth.
The event concluded with the symbolic distribution of training jerseys and refreshments, signifying the official initiation of this new chapter for Luawa FC.
