Babadie Kamara has been elected as the new President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) following elections held in Lungi.

Mr Kamara secured a total of 43 votes, comfortably defeating his closest rival, Aminata Bangura, who received 11 votes.

The election marks a significant moment for Sierra Leonean football as Mr Kamara prepares to take over the leadership of the country’s football governing body.

The SLFA election was closely followed by football stakeholders across the country, with many hoping the new administration will bring fresh energy and reform to the game.
