The application window opens on February 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM and closes on April 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is one of the most respected international scholarship programs in the world. It is funded by the U.S. Government and is designed to help talented students from around the world gain advanced education while building strong ties between their home countries and the United States.

To apply for the Fulbright Foreign Student Master’s Scholarship, applicants are generally expected to meet the following requirements:

Applicants must be citizens of Sierra Leone and must be residing in the country at the time of application.

They must have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution before the scholarship begins.

Applicants should have a strong academic record and demonstrate the ability to succeed at the graduate level.

They must show good English proficiency, as courses in the United States are taught in English. Some applicants may be required to take standardized English tests.

Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential, community involvement, and a clear commitment to contributing to Sierra Leone’s development after completing their studies.

They must be willing to return to Sierra Leone after the completion of their program, in line with Fulbright exchange rules.
