AMBASSADOR ANTHONY NAVO, JR. WITHDRAWS CANDIDACY FOR THE POSITION OF VICE PRESIDENT OF THE SIERRA LEONE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.

The Media and Communications Team of Ambassador Anthony Navo, Jr. hereby inform the Sierra Leone Football Association and the general public of the
withdrawal of the candidacy of Ambassador Anthony Navo, Jr. as Vice President of the upcoming Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) 2021 elections.
Ambassador Anthony Navo, Jr. had submitted his withdrawal letter to the relevant Election Committee and other bodies of the Sierra Leone Football Association.
Ambassador Navo, Jr. remains grateful and honoured to have been nominated for this position.
“I have decided to discontinue my bid for the Vice Presidency because of family and private reasons. This is not a decision I have taken lightly,” Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. said.
Whilst Ambassador Anthony Navo’s withdrawal may come as a shock and disappointment to our football family and supporters, we would like to take this opportunity of assuring all, of Ambassador Navo’s unwavering commitment and support to the greater development of football for the betterment of our beloved nation.
Finally, Ambassador Anthony Navo wishes to take this opportunity of congratulating his sister and colleague, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Madam Isha Johansen on her historic achievement and recent appointment as Fifa Council Member.
To the remaining candidates/nominees of the SLFA upcoming elections, Ambassador Anthony Navo sends his best wishes and prays that the elections are free, fair and credible, ensuring democratic governance in SLFA.
