“My sincere appreciation to every single one of you who have come from far and near to felicitate with me at todays unprecedented and epochal ceremony. Your presence here, gives me great joy and belief, not only because of the uniqueness and the exclusive significance of the occasion, but also because of what it demonstrates and its connotation for the future of our beloved nation.

One of the tragedies of our country and indeed Africa, is that our story has always been told by others from their perspectives and for their own purpose; with the attendant result that much of the narratives about our culture, history and development, have been but a distorted picture.” Dr Adonis Abboud
