According to a tweet by Amadu Lamrana Bah, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has clarified that Abibatu Paran Tarawally, the wife of the Clerk of Parliament, received a salary for nineteen months between September 2021 and March 2023, instead of the ten months that were initially reported. The ACC has been investigating allegations of corruption against Hon. Paran Tarawally and his wife, including abuse of office following the recruitment of his wife as a staff member of Parliament.

Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Sierra Leone is expected to address the media tomorrow and announce some indictments on recent high-profile investigations.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Abibatu Paran Tarawally has already returned NLe131,000, which represents a portion of the salary she received during her tenure as a Human Resources Officer at Parliament.

This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available
