Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine has said the struggle for Uganda’s future is not over, insisting that citizens who love their country will eventually bring change.

In a strongly worded statement on Facebook, Bobi Wine said millions of Ugandans remain determined to reclaim their country from what he described as repression and poor governance under President Yoweri Museveni.

“It is not yet over,” he said, adding that Ugandans who genuinely care about the nation will free it from what he called “the fangs of Museveni and his regime of blood and national shame.”

The opposition figure, who has repeatedly accused the government of human rights abuses and electoral injustice, said the desire for freedom and dignity among ordinary Ugandans remains strong despite intimidation and crackdowns.

His comments come amid continued political tension in Uganda, where opposition groups have complained about restrictions on political space, arrests of activists and alleged abuses by security forces.

Supporters of Bobi Wine say his message reflects growing frustration among young people and pro-democracy activists, while government officials have previously rejected accusations of repression.

The remarks have sparked renewed debate on Uganda’s political future, as opposition figures continue to call for reforms and democratic change.
