Sallu Kamuskay, Co-Founder and & CEO of Salone Messenger, has arrived in Hyderabad as part of the India-Africa Content Creators Familiarization Tour. This initiative, organized by the High Commission of India in Sierra Leone in collaboration with India’s Ministry of External Affairs, aims to strengthen cultural ties and promote people-to-people diplomacy between India and African nations.

The tour, running from May 21 to May 29, includes visits to iconic monuments and cultural landmarks across India. Kamuskay, accompanied by four other top content creators from Sierra Leone, is part of a larger delegation that includes participants from Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Ghana, Liberia, Namibia, Nigeria, São Tomé, South Africa, and Togo.

In Hyderabad, the delegation is engaging with local content creators, exploring collaborative opportunities, and documenting their experiences through blogs, vlogs, and social media updates. Kamuskay expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to be in India and looking forward to documenting and sharing incredible stories of the country. I am grateful to the India High Commission for making this happen, and we look forward to more of these collaborations.”

Neeraj K. Saini, Head of Chancery at the Indian High Commission in Sierra Leone, praised the professionalism of Sierra Leone’s digital media space, noting, “The popularity and professionalism of Sierra Leonean social media content creators is commendable. They are doing great work in raising awareness on various important issues.”

Kamuskay’s visit coincides with Hyderabad’s hosting of the 72nd Miss World pageant, a significant international event that has brought global attention to the city. The pageant’s grand finale is scheduled for May 31 at HITEX Exhibition Center, with various cultural activities taking place across the city, including visits to iconic landmarks like Charminar and Chowmahalla Palace.

Hyderabad, known for its rich history and cultural heritage, is also currently hosting the 10th International Convention of SPIC MACAY at IIT-Hyderabad. This week-long event, running from May 26 to June 1, offers participants an immersive experience in Indian classical arts, culture, and values, featuring workshops, heritage walks, and performances by renowned artists.

The convergence of these significant events underscores Hyderabad’s role as a vibrant cultural hub, offering Kamuskay and fellow content creators a unique opportunity to engage with India’s diverse traditions and contemporary developments.
