Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, Chairman of the National Sports Authority, praised the team’s efforts in a statement following the match. He commended the squad, primarily composed of home-based players, for their impressive display of skill and defensive strength.
“What a game! Leone Stars faced off against a fierce Pharaoh, displaying the strength of the heart of a lion as they resisted what seemed irresistible,” Abdulai said. “Although we may have lost, the performance and defense were impressively solid.”
