Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh, has confirmed his participation in the upcoming UN Security Council’s open debate on the situation in the Middle East.

The debate, convened at the Ministerial level, is scheduled for January 23, 2024. In a statement, Chief Minister Sengeh expressed Sierra Leone’s unwavering commitment to global peace and security.

Chief Minister Sengeh  emphasized the imperative need to cease hostilities and advocated for a lasting solution through diplomatic dialogue. Sengeh’s presence at the UN Security Council’s debate signals Sierra Leone’s active engagement in addressing critical international affairs.
