The awards, which recognize excellence in sports journalism across the globe, saw Kanu make a big impression with his outstanding coverage of sporting events giving him a spot.

Kanu, who works Broadcasting Network (BBN) Radio was ranked in 9th in the AUDIO category of Top 10 Best African Best Sports Journalists, with the story titled, ‘Age Fraud: A Threat To Football Development In Sierra Leone’., has been covering sports. His passion for sports and his ability to tell compelling stories has earned him a spot to win big from the AIPS Sports Media Awards, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in sports journalism.
