Brilliant South African lady, Manoko Mashangoane celebrates her proud moments as she emerge as one of the country’s youngest to be admitted as an attorney after passing her exams. She achieved this feat which was a childhood dream at the age of 23.

“An Admitted Attorney at 23?! You did it girl!,” Manoko wrote on her handle with a beautiful picture whilst celebrating her achievement. Prior to this, She took turns to share highlights from her academic journey, including both the highs and lows with her followers. One of the things she touched on was her interesting story of adapting to the field.

The young lady revealed that, she faced challenges as a post graduate student because she was completely new in the institution. “As a postgraduate who comes from a completely different institution, I had to start with familiarising myself with how they do things at UP.

“That delayed my studies because everytime we were given a task, I had to start by consulting lecturers, Information specialists and some of my former classmates from UL because I didn’t have any friends at UP… I struggled to make friends, I was always anxious everytime I had to go to campus because I would feel that people could tell that I’m not from UP and I’m different and I don’t even belong there,” she wrote on Linkedin.

Being a smart student, she quickly measured up and found her fit on campus and passed with flying colors. To become an admitted attorney in South Africa, one must first complete articles with a registered law firm and then pass your board exams. She met all the criteria and got called up. Her success inspires a lot of people.
