Yvonne Nelson, a well-known Ghanaian actress, has revealed that attending birthday parties in Nigeria was more financially rewarding than her acting career in Ghana.
In her book, “I am not Yvonne Nelson,” she shared that simply attending a party in Nigeria could pay her more than acting in a movie in Ghana. She explained that some people were willing to pay celebrities to attend their parties to boost their status.
Yvonne also faced pressure from her friends to stay out late, which made her work schedule even more challenging. Despite the difficulties, she continued to pursue her career in acting.
