Yvonne Denise Aki-Sawyerr, Sierra Leonean politician and finance professional, the Mayor of the city, was awarded the Outstanding Public Social Intrapreneur of the Year 2023 for her innovative approach to improving the living conditions of his constituents.
Yvonne Denise Aki-Sawyerr had always been passionate about creating positive change in her community. As the Mayor of Freetown, she was constantly seeking new and innovative ways to address the city’s most pressing social and economic issues.
