A young African-American boy, Mario Hoove has broken the 46-year-old record of Providence-St. Mel. School, Chicago, United States after scoring a perfect 100% grade in the country’s ACT examination.
The ACT examination in the United States is used to measure a high school student’s readiness for university, and provide universities with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.
In the 46 years of history of Providence St. Mel School in Chicago, United States, the school has never produced a student that archives 100% score until Mario Hoover broke the record, making him the first ever to achieve such a feat.
Hoover who aced all the examination’s 36 points said it him time to see his potential. “I want others to know that they can do the same. I’ve been saying a lot today that we are all capable of more than we think we can do,” Hoover said.
