The stage is set to honor and celebrate the power of women’s leadership in Sierra Leone, as the highly anticipated 8th Edition of the 50 Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Awards prepares to officially announce this year’s honorees.
In a national broadcast, African Young Voices (AYV) Television will air the official announcement of the 2025 award recipients on Friday, June 13 at 8:30 AM. The live program promises to spotlight the achievements of 50 exceptional women who have made significant contributions across various sectors in Sierra Leone.
This annual initiative, spearheaded by Edmond Alim Fornah, aims to recognize and amplify the voices of Sierra Leonean women making a difference—whether in politics, public service, entrepreneurship, education, health, media, civil society, or community development.
The 8th edition is being held in partnership with Salone Messenger as one of official media partner, marking the second consecutive year the platform has supported the prestigious awards.
“These women are champions of change,” said Edmond Alim Fornah. “They represent the strength, resilience, and brilliance of Sierra Leonean women who continue to rise above challenges and leave lasting impact in their communities and beyond.”
