DCM Bunce welcomed the newest cohort of Peace Corps trainees to Sierra Leone today as they embark on their preparation for Volunteer service in education and health across the country. The cohort represents math, science and English teachers as well as community health promoters.
On the official Twitter page of the US Embassy in Sierra Leone, a post read: “Welcome to Salone! The newest group of 🇺🇸 Peace Corps volunteers just arrived in 🇸🇱 and were welcomed by our Deputy Chief of Mission. Volunteers will focus on improving education and health systems, working directly with the people of Sierra Leone.”
