The University of Makeni (UniMak) has announced an extension for the sale of application forms, providing more time for prospective students to apply for the 2024/25 academic year. The extension, made pending further notice, follows the rising demand for enrollment at the university.

Shebora Samba Kamara, Public Relations Officer at UniMak, stated that the decision to extend the deadline, originally set for September 30, 2024, aims to give additional opportunities to prospective students eager to enroll.

The online portal for applications to both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses opened on June 3, 2024. The extension applies to applications across all three campuses: Fatima Campus in Makeni, Slyvanus Koroma Campus in Yoni, and St John of God Campus in Lunsar.

Prospective students are encouraged to visit any Eco Bank branch nationwide to purchase an application pin. The cost of the pins is as follows: – Le 850.00 for Undergraduate courses – Le 1,500.00 for Master’s programs – Le 2,000.00 for PhD courses

This extension is expected to accommodate the growing interest in UniMak’s programs, allowing more students to take advantage of the opportunity to pursue higher education at one of Sierra Leone’s leading universities.
