The UK Aid Match team has visited Bombali District to see the impact of the PowerUp Project, which supports young people and communities.
The team, who are donors to the project, joined Restless Development’s Hub Director Lesley Garura, Senior Programme Manager David M. Bayo, and other project staff for a field visit. They met with community members to see first-hand how the project is changing lives.
During the visit, the team observed life skills sessions for out-of-school girls and Boys’ Clubs. They also met mentors, community leaders, and officials from the Bombali District Council. Many shared their appreciation for how the project has improved the lives of young people in their communities.
The visit created space for open discussions between the donors, project staff, and community stakeholders. It helped the UK Aid Match team understand both the progress made and the challenges faced so far.
Restless Development said these kinds of visits help build strong partnerships and ensure that grants are managed effectively.
The organisation thanked everyone who contributed to making the visit a success.
