Two Sierra Leoneans Travel to India for Training

The High Commissioner of India in Sierra Leone has presented air tickets and free visas to two Sierra Leoneans who will take part in professional training in India under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.

The beneficiaries are Mr. Solomon Turay from the Ministry of Public Administration and Political Affairs, and Mr. Eric Edwin Williams, a journalist from Star TV.

They will soon leave for India to begin courses that will build their skills and knowledge.

The ITEC Programme is a long-standing initiative by the Government of India that provides training and capacity building opportunities to professionals from partner countries, including Sierra Leone.

Through this programme, Sierra Leoneans gain new expertise that can support development in different sectors back home.

This latest support reflects the growing partnership between India and Sierra Leone, with both countries continuing to strengthen ties in education, governance, and media.
