Sierra Leonean music sensation Jacob the Therapist has taken to social media to address the ongoing rift between fellow Sierra Leonean artists and express his concern for the growth of the music industry. In a post on social media, he emphasized the importance of respecting the OGs (Elders) within the music fraternity and highlighted that such behavior undermines the industry, making it challenging for Sierra Leonean artists to aspire to the levels achieved by their Nigerian counterparts.
“How we go expect we music industry for grow When there is no respect for the OG’s (Elders)in the music industry” He noted
Jacob also pointed out that some Sierra Leonean artists engage in daily acts of disrespect towards their musical elders on social media, and called for a culture of respect to prevail within the industry. He passionately urged for a more harmonious and prosperous environment for all artists.
“it’s on done Nor to we wan get dis blue app but old day man dem dea cus dem big wan dem” He added
