This past weekend, The Mansaray Foundation joined hands with a local partner clinic to deliver a vital Under-Five Child Health Outreach in Kamoria Village. The programme offered health check-ups, vaccinations, and nutrition advice to children under five and their parents.
The outreach comes amid Sierra Leone’s ongoing battle with maternal and child health challenges. A grim statistic reveals that Sierra Leone’s maternal mortality ratio stands at approximately 443 deaths per 100,000 live births—over six times the global target of 70 for 2030

In her message, the Foundation expressed deep gratitude to its clinic partners, the dedicated rural mothers, and the tireless team prioritising maternal and child healthcare, stating: “Together, we’re building a future where no rural mother or child is left behind.”
This initiative in Kamoria is just one example of the Foundation’s broader work. Across Sierra Leone, the organisation also runs feeding programmes, distributes “birthing buckets” (kits containing essential items for safe childbirth), supports agriculture, promotes reproductive health awareness, and carries out educational and preventive outreach
With simple yet effective moves—like bringing health services directly to children and parents in remote areas, training health workers, and improving clinic infrastructure—The Mansaray Foundation is helping bring Sierra Leone closer to its goal of dramatically lowering maternal and child mortality.
