Techfrica LLC, a technology company based at Camp Junction, Old Checkpoint in Waterloo, has signed a one-year partnership with Voice of Peace and Development Radio (VOPAD) in Kissi Town, Waterloo.
Under the deal, Techfrica – an African-owned company founded by a Sierra Leonean – will rebrand VOPAD’s studios. It will also offer discounted fees if the station decides to create a website or mobile app. In return, VOPAD will air regular jingles for Techfrica and host a weekly talk show for the company.
Techfrica’s Corporate Services Chief Executive, Alhassan Bangura, said the agreement showed the value of cooperation.
“We recognise that no success is achieved in isolation,” he said. “This partnership is more than just a deal – it is a relationship built on commitment, collaboration and a shared vision for growth.”
Mr Bangura added that the company plans to extend its radio branding and online hosting services to other stations in the district and beyond.
Thomas Tom Kargbo, speaking on behalf of VOPAD, thanked Techfrica for its support and pledged to strengthen the partnership.
“Your trust is not something we take lightly,” he said. “As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead to greater achievements we can unlock side by side.”
He appealed to government bodies, organisations and other partners to support the station with more equipment to improve its service as one of the district’s trusted media houses.
The agreement was signed on 22 September 2025.
