In the 57 KG Women’s Elimination Round of 16 at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Sierra Leone’s 17-year-old judo player, Mariama Koroma, will compete against 36-year-old Taiwanese judo player Lien Chen-ling.

The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad and officially branded as Paris 2024, is an international multi-sport event taking place from 24 July to 11 August 2024 in France, with the opening ceremony having taken place on 26 July.
The President of Judo Association Idrissa Massaquoi, has commended Mariama Koroma as one of the best Judoka that has represented Sierra Leone, after she won a silver medal in the Africa Judo Championship in Ivory Coast.
A pupil who took the past WASSECE, Mariama expressed her thanks and appreciation for such wonderful opportunities and promised not to only qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games but also secure a medal for Sierra Leone.
