Clara Makuta Sesay scripted the record as the First International Flight Attendant from West Africa (Sierra Leone ) with ” Dreadlocks”. Clara was pursuing a Diploma in Banking & Finance Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) but due to her childhood passion, she decided to relinquish her course and relocate to South Africa.
The Sierra Leonean was the only foreigner in her class but stood her ground to achieve her dream.
The young Sierra Leonean took to her official Instagram to celebrate. In her words she said:
“I’m Super Proud of how far l’ve managed to get, and yet it’s just the beginning…
%: If I was told I was
gonna Achieve this dream on this day 1/07/2022 I wouldn’t have believed…but God came through for me 6 1. I did Diploma in Banking & Finance at IPAM and proceeded to the degree course when I was in 3rd year, i was an excellent student at IPAM but then I left because I knew what I was doing wasn’t something that satisfies me or rather something I desire but I was doing it either way to please society × family and I had to put a stop to it and go for what I’ve always wanted……..
….Today I’m shedding
tears of Joy because the impossible dream that people said I had is now being Possible

.. I was the only
Foreigner in my Class (Cabin Crew Academy), it was a tough journey trust me and I was able to be One of the (Best Achiever) with a score of 90% from the Civil Aviation Authority, acquiring my International Flight Attendant License and also a Certificate honorably. I didn’t just represent Myself but my country Sierra Leone as the country is being recognized by the impact I made throughout my Flight Attendant Course. I knew where I’m from and the struggle we go through especially to achieve such career path. I am Super proud to say l’m now a CERTIFIED INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT ATTENDANT
