Sierra Leone’s author Mohamed Dauda Kamara has disclosed that plans are underway to launch the novel titled “Seven Days, Seven Nights on The Riverside” which he team up with Godknows Maremera a Zimbabwean author to write the novel.

Mohamed Dauda Kamara is a broadcast Journalist with over ten years of experience in the media landscape, he works for the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation in Makeni.

In 2020, he wrote the short story novel  “Tatamina.” The funds generated from the sales of the novel were largely used to support the less privileged and similar donations were done during the Holy month of Ramadan the same year as a believer of the Islamic faith.

He further noted that it took them a month to write the novel “Seven Days, Seven Nights on The Riverside” bringing to light the tribulations of children under the age of eighteen who are forced into early marriage by their parents and denying them the opportunity to acquire their formal education for them to become self-reliant.

Mohamed Dauda Kamara concluded that they are currently trying to raise US$12750 to print three thousand (3,000) copies of the novel which will be donated to schools, and other institutions. He said donations are highly appreciated by reaching them through their various social media platforms.
